i ordered this tape for the wood stairs inside my home because im pregnant and always found the steps to bit a bit slippery and dangerous...
you only need around 1 foot of tape per stair (just center the tape on each stair)... the adhesive is very strong and i feel alot more confident going down the stairs now!
also- i was worried about lint building up on them because of my socks- that hasnt been a problem! the traction is strong but wont cut your feet open!

I bought this for the wooden steps in my house. When it rains and you go up or down them, you can slip. My husband and I put it on the edge of the steps and it stops the slipping greatly. And it doesn't look bad either. Also, when I walk barefoot or with just socks on the steps, it doesn't hurt and it doesn't mess up my socks. Good product. I've had it for over 6 months and it hasn't started peeling or anything.

This is excellent Non-Slip Tape. Applies easily and has really good adhesive. Note that 8 feet doesn't go very far. It is very easy on bare feet and won't tear up socks, but has great grip for shoes.
This was much better then a roll that I purchased from a big box store.
Pros: Good adhesive Excellent Grip, won't hurt bare feet
Cons: Not very long (8ft), order 2!

The Christmas Shoes bounces between two families--the Layton household, where father Robert (Rob Lowe, The West Wing) is so consumed with his work that he misses his daughter's recital; and the Andrews home, where mother Maggie (Kimberly Williams, According to Jim) has been diagnosed with a fatal heart ailment. Desperate to make his mother's last moments happy, Maggie's son Nathan struggles to buy a pair of red dancing shoes that seem like a pair Maggie remembers from her childhood. Naturally, the lives of these families become intertwined, particularly when Robert's wife takes over Maggie's choral program--which topples the already troubled balance between Kate and Robert. Perhaps because Rob Lowe is usually stereotyped as glib and insincere, The Christmas Shoes feels surprisingly heartfelt. The earnestness of The Christmas Shoes surprises because the story originated in the famously sappy country song of the same name, and movies based on songs rarely feel anything but plastic and contrived. There are certainly moments when The Christmas Shoes lays on the sentiment woefully thick, but you'd have to be an ogre not to be touched when Maggie and her husband have one last dance. Okay, if you don't want a sad movie, this movie is not for you. That doesn't make it a bad movie. Any number of stars in a mistake. You just got the wrong movie.

News flash: there really ARE towns in the U.S. like the one in the movie (which was in Nova Scotia). If you hate small, friendly towns, then stay away from them. They probably wouldn't like you either.
On the other hand, if you like the feelings that are supposed to be associated with Christmas, this movie is a rare find. It's very easy to flub on tragic scenes. This movie doesn't. The acting by Kimberly Williams is just right. The timing and the scripting of the scenes is just... Read more

I enjoyed this movie more than many other happier Christmas movies. Sometimes we have to see what other families are going through in order to appreciate and even recognize what we have in our own lives. I especially like the shoes the young boy chose. Why? Because those are the very shoes that ANY child would choose for his/her Mom! Anybody with children knows that they do not choose the practical plain navy or black that will match everything in their closets or ours! They are the ones most likely to express their creativity without regard to what others think. I applaud the writers on choosing the most shiny, colorful and uplifting pair of shoes for their movie. What shoes could be better for a little boy who adores his Mom? What little boy or girl WOULDN'T choose those shoes?

I almost used a box of kleenexes when I watched this movie on TV a couple of years ago. It is well acted, with an especially good performance by Kimberly Williams. I want to add though that it is extremely depressing and tragic, and is a little too sad for a Christmas movie in my opinion. The part where the little boy tries to listen to his mother's heartbeat to make sure she is still alive just about 'killed me'. Although it brings our attention to the things in life that are truly important, I personally prefer something a little more upbeat for the Christmas season.
Note: I see a sequel to this movie was made in 2005, called "The Christmas Blessing" about the little boy when he is grown up and becomes a doctor. It stars Neil Patrick Harris, who is an outstanding actor. I hope it is released on dvd sometime soon.
